1. Overview
The Sputnik Chrome Extension operates exclusively on LinkedIn and provides tools to:
• Send LinkedIn profile URLs to the user’s CRM
• Generate AI-based outreach messages for LinkedIn connections
All data collection and processing is initiated explicitly by the user. The Extension does not collect or transmit data automatically when browsing LinkedIn.

2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the Extension’s functionality.
2.1 User Account Information
• Email address (entered by the user)
• Authentication tokens (JWT access token and refresh token)
This information is used solely for authentication and account identification.
2.2 LinkedIn Profile Data
When the user clicks the Extension icon:
• LinkedIn profile URL of the viewed contact
When generating outreach messages:
• The profile URL
• Additional profile-related data derived from that URL (e.g., publicly available professional information)
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data, such as information related to health, religion, political opinions, or similar categories.

3. How We Use Information
We use collected data strictly for the following purposes:
• To authenticate users
• To send LinkedIn profile URLs to the user’s CRM
• To generate AI-based outreach messages tailored to the selected profile
• To maintain system functionality and performance (logging and debugging)
All actions involving data transmission occur only after user interaction (e.g., clicking the Extension icon).

4. Data Handling and Processing
4.1 Backend Processing
• Profile URLs are sent securely to our backend
• For message generation, profile-related data may be processed to produce personalized outreach content
4.2 AI Processing
We use a third-party AI service, OpenAI, to generate outreach messages.
• Data shared includes:
o LinkedIn profile URL
o Related profile-derived information
• No user passwords or sensitive personal data are shared

5. Data Storage
5.1 Local Storage (User Device)
The Extension stores the following locally:
• Email address
• JWT access and refresh tokens
• A flag indicating acceptance of in-app terms
This data is stored using browser storage mechanisms and is not accessible to other websites.
5.2 Backend Storage
• CRM data (e.g., saved LinkedIn profile URLs) is stored as part of the user’s CRM and retained until deleted by the user
• System logs (including request and response data, excluding passwords) are stored for up to one (1) year
We do not store passwords in plain text. Passwords are securely hashed and are never logged.

6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Data is shared only in the following limited cases:
• With our AI service provider (OpenAI) for message generation
• When required by law or legal process

7. User Control and Rights
Users have the following rights:
• Log Deletion: Users may request deletion of stored logs by contacting us at info@kaizin.ai
• CRM Data Control: Users can delete stored contact data directly within their CRM
At this time, account deletion and automated data export tools are not provided through the Extension.

8. Permissions and Scope
The Extension:
• Operates only on: https://www.linkedin.com/*
• Uses Chrome permissions including:
o storage
o scripting
The Extension does not track browsing activity outside LinkedIn.

9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect user data, including:
• HTTPS encryption for all communications
• Secure password hashing
• Restricted data access
However, no system can be completely secure, and users use the Extension at their own risk.

10. Children’s Privacy
The Extension is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective Date” above.
Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
